just a wee bit preoccupied lately.....

I would have posted more this week, but as you can see, I am out looking for a new brain. The old gal ain't like she used to be... but lucky for me, I found a place that can fill my request. I just have to be careful that I don't pick the one that says AB Normal. I love the fact that I can also buy a few donuts at the corner store while I'm there. Hope they sell chocolate ones.

See you all next week.... with a brand spanking new brain! Have a wonderful weekend... and pray for rain to slosh us somewhere during that time. We sure could use a good belly-gusher in these parts.

Well I sure hope the new brain thinks as well and is as creative and intelligent as this one! Can't just take yours in for new spark plugs or something?

You liked "Young Frankenstien" with Gene Wilder, didn't ya? Me too! That sign is a riot!
"Abby Normal..."

Tell me how yours works out, in case I need a new one too! What a bargain!

We're having lotsa lightning here lately. Will pray you get more rain soon!

My Dad had a saying.......I don't know whether he made it up, or heard it somewhere.......

"When God was handing out brains, (insert name here)"Joe" thought he said trains.......and didn't want one!

Great sign! And it is good to know that if one has to stand in the brain purchasing line, one can munch on a honey dip.

Rain starved again? A bit of Beryl stormed through here on Friday. It's raining again this early morning........we have been blessed on and off all summer. Consequently, my hydrangea are so tall and big blossomed that the are droopy headed!

With the price as low as it is, I sprung for a new one altogether. I did take your advise however, and purchased some new plugs while there. I keep them in a safe place just in case I spring a leak somewhere down the line. All I have to do is remember where that safe place is. I'm all too good at putting things away, and forgetting where THE SAFE PLACE is.

Ah yes, Mel Brooks.... is there anyone funnier? Young Frankenstien (pronounced: Franken-steen), and Blazing Saddles (remember the campfire scene?) are two of the funniest movies ever made. I rented them when Chris was younger (perhaps too young), and he laughed all the way through... got a great kick out of the cowboys around the campsite.

We finally did get some rain yesterday, but are still in a deficit. They've cracked down harder on the waterers as of this week, and the "fine" systems are even nastier than before.
Your prayers always seem to work for me... so thanks for your pull with the powers that be!

Thanks! I have a feeling that this weekend was a turning point! I purchased a brain, and got some rain.... kind of reminds me of "My Fair Lady": "the rain and brains fall mainly on Ellens domain"

I was feeling better already after the few donuts I munched while waiting. Maybe all I needed was the sugar-fix? Anyhoo.... damage is done, new brain in place, and it's time to take it for a test drive......

I heard Beryl was heading towards the Maritimes after it got through with the New England coast. It makes me think that the Atlantic is in for the year with the hurricanes, leaving the Gulf Coast of the US alone for a bit.

The only way one of my hydrangeas is big and beautiful is because I've watered it everyday. The others I have are still in the small stages, and will take a few years to mature first. It amazes me that they take so long to grow in the first four years, but after that they get enormous if you don't tend to their pruning. Gotta love their flowers though!

The summer has hit, everyone seems to be taking breaks from blogging and enjoying the weather. If I lived in a warm climate all year, I think I would have trouble keeping my blog updated. :)

Peace & Hugs,

I've been taking orders for all those in need. Thought I'd do a test drive on mine first to see how legit they are first. Let's face it, 25 cents is almost too good to be true, huh?

You know me and shopping, "sale" is my favorite word... along with "bargain", "clearance", and "cheap". 25 cents fits into my budget well.

Summer in the South is as close to being at the gates of hell as you can get. I'm not enjoying it as much as I'd like.... and dream of the beach, surf, and a cabana boy named Juan who brings me endless supplies of mojitos.

But I do hope you are enjoying yours!

I agree, Mr. Bush (and the whole clan) could do well by the purchase of a few brains.... and so cheaply!

At 25 cents a pop, it's a bragain, no doubt! I'll bet you would even kick in the purchase money if it would help you to have your co-workers quit asking so many dumb questions. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by! It's always nice to see a new face! I went over and read your bathroom surveys, and got a kick out of your creative blog usage. Too funny!
Feel free to stop by anytime!

Two words: ROAD TRIP!
I'll bring the chocolate (which I'm sure they can probably lipo it out later), and you bring your sense of humor. We could have a blast!

Yes, we finally got a little rain on Friday and Saturday... and did we ever need it. It's so darn hot in these parts, that a little here and there is just not enough. Fines for watering have gotten outragious, if caught. Luckily I live in a neighborhood that has many "flavors" who are more worried about trouble landing on their doorstep than they are about turning me in.
