OH yeah. Goin' through that already... it's terrible down here, all the oak trees blooming and no rain for weeks. Cars are actually YELLOW with pollen unless their owners wash them.
saur~ The maple trees have just started flaunting their *twirly-birds*, which make a mess out of every lawn and driveway around. Our pear trees, red buds, and flowering cherries are full bloom color (how pretty!), and the dogwoods are doing everything they can to catch up. Next is the azalias, and ATL will look like somebody took yards and yards of lace and strew it across the landscape. Ah yes, I can hardly wait for the rivers of pollen after a good rain!

ej~ Oh so sorry it's still cold. Funny that I got up so early to post this and then snapped on the news to see that the mid-west (in the states) is still suffering snowstorms. Just glad it's not us! I hope it does warm up for you soon!
I also have been having a problem getting into your site. I can read the post, but cannot get to comments. So you are moving back to the states? Cool! Hope the packing is not taking a toll on you!

citysoul~ I can just bet you'd like some warmer weather up there. Sending you my best wishes that it happens soon, sweetie! Maternity wear is so much cooler in the spring!
We still have 30 degrees here, but I actually heard a peeper this evening, the first one! Poor little froggie must be freezin! Guess the groundhog was right!
atleast spring is out there somewhere... it was warmer in january than it is now! 30's to 40's all at any week, and it'll be cloudy for the rest of the week with flurries likely at any time! i want it to be warm out again!
lee ann~ Isn't it cool to see such color everywhere? I'm loving every moment of it! Happy Spring to you too, sweetie!

wes~ I remember those piles of snow when I used to live in New Hampshire.... precisely the reason why I moved to Atlanta. It seemed like winter would never end! Being a Leo, I worship the sun... but you wait, in a few weeks or so I'll be complaining how it's like living at the gates of hell... as it does get that hot here in the summer. Haha!
PS~ my pleasure about the link!

K.~ Nothing like the feeling of playing in the dirt, huh? I'll bet your Mom appreciates the garden you plant for her... such a wonderful gesture.
I also like the feeling I get when the gardens are straightened out and the flowers are in their place... it's such a feeling of accomplishment. I plant a lot of impatiens, but they take gallons and gallons of water to keep them alive during the summer months. Thirsty little buggers!

Still a little cold up there, huh? I remember one year (long, long time ago) when it snowed on Easter. I think I vowed then that when I was old enough, I would find a warmer climate to live my years out in. The snow is pretty to look at... but that was enough for me. I have to admit that I do miss it on Christmas Day (only).
Funny that you mention the flowers on your cactus. My christmas cactus' flowers twice a year... November and Easter. They were fooled into flowering on St. Patty's Day this year... and are still blooming now.
Hope it warms up for you soon! Happy Spring to you too, sweetie!

mb~ Can't blame you for wanting the nice weather to come back. January was pretty warm here, too. It's been doing that the last couple of years... the reason why my daffodils bloom during January.
Rome, Georgia (up in the mountains) is suffering some flurries... but I'm still a little too south for that, thank God! We have had a slight cold snap this week, and I've had to turn on the heat in the mornings to warm up the house a bit. It will get up to mid 50's here today, starting at 35 degrees this morning. I can't wait till it finally evens out and I can throw the houseplants out on the porch!
Stay warm... and remember, it's only a matter of time! Happy Spring thoughts is the mantra for the day!
bar bar a~ Aren't they though? I love flowers, and am glad I never had any real allergies either. I do develop slight problems in the spring down here, as the pollen is so thick, you can cut it with a knife... but once the trees have *leafed*, I'm fine. When saur said that the cars are yellow... she's not kidding. It covers everything like a fine dust.

I'll take the pollen! Just bring some warm weather!

If you could see what it looks like here, all you would see is piles and piles of snow. I'm a LONG way from spring yet. :)
p.s. thanks for the link. :)
Pretty! I can't wait to start gardening! It's the one time I can actually clear my head. Plus it gives my mom a nice garden :)

Not a flower anywhere besides the Xmas Cactus!
Well, I don't miss the pollen...
Happy Spring to you too!

Luckily I have never had allergies.
Those flowers are beautiful! I need to take some flower pics soon.
