I might repeat to myself slowly and soothingly, a list of quotations beautiful from minds profound - if I can remember any of the damn things.

Ah....Dorothy Parker. Isn't she the one that coined the phrase:
"girls with glasses, seldom get passes"?

Funny thing .... I've read some of her stuff... but suffer the same recall problems on re-quoting.

I really like the Margaret Atwood one comparing time to water, n the Barbara Johnson one comparing patience to engine transmission states, I'd not seen those ones before.
good words of wisdom for the day, thanks!

I like the patience one, mostly because I have more patience than anyone else on the planet. But sometimes people just like to see how far they can push me. :)

Ellen, yes! My fave quote of hers was "you can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think" (in response to a challenge to make up a clever phrase about horticulture).

Thanks for the quotes...they are great! :)

One of my faves...Living in a nudest colony must suck all the fun out of Halloween. :) (LOL, not inspirational, but a great one!)

I liked those two as well. Somehow quotes help to put things into perspective for me... especially those days when I feel like pulling my hair out. Glad you enjoyed the words of wisdom for the day. I've noticed that a lot of people have done the same lately, but in different versions.

Congrats on the patience strength.
Don't you just hate it when people try to push the envelope and mess you up? Like that's their great contribution to being a total social idiot around people. More power to you!

saur~ LOL! I love it! I will have to take a trip to Barnes & Noble to see if I can find a book of her quotes... she had quite a few.

Thanks for stopping by! It's always nice to be reminded of life beyond ourselves, isn't it?

Glad you enjoyed the few words of wisdom.
I shamelessly stole the picture from the web. Dolphins are one of my favorite animals to watch flipping and gliding through the ocean. I took a trip to Savannah, GA a few years back and was able to see a school of them criss-cross the beach. How cool was that?

Hey, sweetie! How are you doing? I've been trying to get into your site, but blogger is being a real pain about it. I left a comment when you had posted about being 5 weeks along... but for some reason, it got deleted by blogger.
Hope you are feeling well still... and no morning sickness! Take care, I'll try again today to see if I can get into your site.

You always find great quotes... and I always enjoy reading them. Mine were straight out of books; I'm a collector of "quote books", and always find a few in them that I should take heed to.
Glad to see you had a moment to stop by... I know how busy you are with school. My son is trying to juggle a full load and two jobs... I really feel for students!

Yeah, the patience one is golden, huh? Sometimes I forget mine when I'm in Atlanta traffic... hahaha!
But then you are familiar with that. It took me 2 1/2 hours yesterday to do a simple 10 minute delivery. My *filth mouth* reared its ugly head after the 2nd hour... but can you blame me?

The Ann Landers quote reminded me of myself and the affliction I suffer sometimes called:
openmouth-insertitis.
Glad you had a chance to stop by!
